Every weight and target in these 21 roles is a judgement, not a measurement. Nobody surveyed a thousand job adverts to decide that React matters 5 out of 5 to a frontend role and TypeScript 4. They are a considered starting point, written to be argued with — open any role, change what you disagree with, and the report will tell you which requirements came from this list and which you set yourself. How the score is calculated

Every role preset lists required skills, each with a weight (1–5, how much the role depends on it) and a target level (1–5, how good you need to be).

Coverage for one skill = min(your level, target) ÷ target.
Readiness = Σ(weight × coverage) ÷ Σ(weight), as a percentage.
Priority = weight × (gap ÷ target), where gap = target − your level.

Weights and targets are Feerebu's own opinionated defaults for a junior-to-mid hire — they are a starting point, not an industry standard. Build a custom role if your target job differs.

Skill matching

Your skill names are matched against each requirement using a normalised comparison plus a built-in alias list (for example js, es6 and ECMAScript all match JavaScript; k8s matches Kubernetes; a11y matches Accessibility). If a requirement matched one of your entries, the report shows which one under “matched via”. Anything of yours that no requirement claimed is listed as a bonus skill.
