Conflict Resolution Process

1

Direct Communication

First, attempt to resolve the issue directly with the other party in a private, respectful manner. Focus on the specific behavior or issue, not personal attributes.

2

Mediation Request

If direct communication doesn't resolve the issue, request mediation from a team lead or project maintainer. Provide a clear, factual summary of the situation.

3

Formal Review

For serious or unresolved issues, the community moderators will conduct a formal review. All parties will have an opportunity to present their perspective.

4

Resolution & Follow-up

The moderators will determine appropriate action and communicate the resolution to all involved parties. Follow-up will ensure the resolution is effective.

Time Commitment

Commit to a consistent schedule and communicate availability changes. Meet agreed-upon deadlines and update teammates if delays occur.

Code Quality

Write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation. Follow project conventions and participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards.

Documentation

Document your work thoroughly. Update README files, API documentation, and internal docs as needed. Help others understand your contributions.

Continuous Learning

Stay updated with project technologies and best practices. Share knowledge with the community and be open to learning from others.

Violation Reporting & Consequences

If you witness or experience a violation of these guidelines:

  1. Report Immediately: Contact a community moderator or team lead via private message
  2. Provide Details: Include specific information about what occurred, when, and who was involved
  3. Confidentiality: Reports will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly
